Post subject:  HISONIC Powered Speakers HS6541, HS6551 any good for home karaoke?

Folks,

I was leaning towards getting a pair of Behringer B212A for my entry home karaoke system but reading Mickey's post about Behringer actual troubles, I am looking at different alternatives.

I found these HISONIC powered speakers at www.hisonic.net website which do not look powerful nor loud but was wondering if these are any good for entry home karaoke setup in term of sound and built quality.

Are HISONIC products quality OK in general? Anybody has any comments or suggestions?

Actually if those were my only choices i'd opt for the Behringer over the HiSonic everyday!

Thanks Lonman for the fast reply.

I guess that I'd have to spent a bit more to get a better and reliable speakers system, "buy once - cry once".

Micky's post aside, I don't believe Behringer is going anywhere. I would buy them again for what I paid, $398.00 for the pair. I am glad I have them. They went up in price for a reason -- they were a steal at that price.

But for the current price of $280 apiece, I would save up a little longer and go with the Yorkville or Carvin. I am happy with the Behringers I own, but the Yorkville sound better.

Thanks...

I think that for a mere $400 ea, I will opt for either the CARVIN LM12A/LM15A or the Yorkville YX15P/NX25P. I am convinced that I won't be sorry down the road with these equipments, a bit more expensive but definitely much better in term of quality, warranty and support vs. the cheaper ones.

Personally I have owned four hisonic wireless systems and while the first two got stolen before I could use them in a professional setting the last two were pieces of junk. One was a dual handheld rechargable system that the rechargable part did not even last a two hour gig, with regular batteries lasted two full gigs before one side burned out on me. The last one was a headset unit I was going to use for dj only services. The only time I tried to use it had it only give out a buzzing sound so I packed it away and used a Samson hand held system only for announcements during the gig.
