What size do you use?

What size would you like to use or what do you think would be best?

I have a 19" LCD computer monitor and I'd like to use something larger, but haven't decided what would be the best size to use?

I've used & seen a 13" CRT monitor ever since I can remember. At least for the the singer. Now I have seen larger for the audience view & hooked into the clubs big screens.
If my current 13" monitor dies, i'll probably upgrade to a 17" or 19" LCD flatscreen for the singer - don't see no need for anything bigger in our club, they get a good view of the 60" on otherside if they want anyway. May get two 17" & mount them on each corner of the stage.

The 19" lcd TV I bought originally for karaoke is serving as the livingroom tv temporarily until we get our 26" flat panel. So right now I use a 13" tv for private parties and am hooked into the house tv system at my bar.

I bought a 15 inch polaroid brand lcdtv from walmart a year ago for just under $300 and it works well, although i should have opted for a 19 inch because my second show is mostly aged over 50, and they sometimes complain they can't see the words- depending on which font-size the karaoke manufacturer used.

I have the tv mounted with velcro on a music stand and it fits nicely in a rubbermaid container for transportation.

The prices on the polaroid tvs at walmart have dropped recently so my next one will be a 19''. Being mobile, i wouldn't go bigger than 19'' because it wouldn't fit in a container.

Here I was worried that my 19" LCD might not be big enough.

I use a now discontinued Viewsonic display whose model name eludes me. The main decision point for me was the way the TV mounted to the stand. I looked specifically for a TV that would have a single pivot point with (hopefully) a single bolt hole.

When I purchased it I was able to unbolt it from the stand and bolt it to a home made cap for a small speaker stand. I just setup the stand and slide the display cap right over the top of the stand and Viola! it looks like the monitor and stand are a matched set purposely made for the job. Unless you look real close you can't tell it's home made.

Down side is I need a stand to use that monitor for anything else. But the up side is I don't need to use it for anything else :)

I was the same. I used to lug around 2x 26" CRT TVs when I first started! Now I have a 15" flatscreen on a stand for the singers, its perfectly adequate.
The pubs where I play now have plasma screens that I can plug into for the audience so thats really all I need now.

Like Lonnie I'm just using a 13" CRT for the singers. It sits on a small high table with the mics. I like it because it's heavy enough to stay put and if anything happens to it I'm not out much. I put a handle on it's top so I can move it around easily.

I've never had anyone complain about it being too small.

Private parties I use a 42" LCD or a 8 or 10 foot projection screen.

Bars I use what ever is on the wall.

I use a $60 13 inch from wallmart. It works great, and if it falls or breaks, I won't be very sad. If it does ever break, I am not sure I would spent the $200 or so for a flat screen. Then I would also have to replace the stand. There are always large tv's at most venues, that I input into so the crowd can see, also. For private parties, I bring a 20inch for the crowd.

An expensive flat screen doen't make your show better.
