Post subject:  I had a sudden moment of madness...
... and bought two Yorkville LS800P's.

I was looking at this sub for a while now. Two days ago I stumbled over two of them (used) on craigslist for $1,600. After communicating with the seller and telling him, that the shipping for both would be around $250 from Texas to my place, he was willing to pay for shipping and insurance. He also assured me, that both subs are in perfect working condition.

It didn't take me long to decide. I just couldn't help it... call me nuts.

Well as the proud owner of two of those puppies myself I will say that you will never lack bottom end again. Size for size and dollar for dollar there is nothing that will compare to the LS800P. Perhaps one day we can get together and annoy the neighbors. :lol:

What's crazy about it. Two for the price of one and the seller is paying for the shipping. Unless they've been abused (Very difficult to abuse Yorkville products), and not hot, then you made a very sweet deal.

Heard too many horror stories of CRAIGS LIST transactions
Won't deal unless it is a LOCAL transaction

I have received the subs today. Everything went well with the transaction. But man, those freaking subs are indeed monsters... they're huge! Can't wait to try one of them tonight...

Subs are notoriously heavy, alright. I have permanently loaned mine to my husband's band because they just weren't practical to cart into and out of karaoke shows. I do have a powered Mackie sub now that goes with my 12-inch active speakers - same nice bump and q auarter of the lifting (and space required to haul them). Enjoy! I've been to more shows lately where the sound would really be improved by the addition of a sub.
