With all the discussion about filler tunes or dead air, I thought it might be worthy of a poll.

You forgot the third option. Talk between singers (advertising/banter, etc).

Definately using Transition, and Filler as necessary. Lower volume (in the background) during announcements, kind of like ELEVATOR music. Not as in (to elevate the atmosphere), as in (the music you would hear in an elevator).

IMO advertising/banter between songs is not really a third option. You either have filler music playing or not. Even if you are talking over it. Whether or not to involve the crowd with advertising, contests, or encouragement is another poll.

Then write the poll that way. Not "Just Dead Air".

Sorry, I suppose I should have written "No filler music" instead of "Just Dead Air". I can't find a way to change the poll that is already in process. Sorry for the confusion.
