As an old man my system has lightened over the years. Things to consider if you plan to do parties. You will run into small elevators with doors that once they find out you are bringing in the gear will try to pin and kill you. You will run into 40 flights of stairs. You will haul equipt through snow drifts and over ice and mud. Big wheels on dollys etc.
One thing not mentioned here is canvass tarps and tie downs for outside gigs and transporting thru inclement weather. I have had speakers blown down in high winds and lcd monitors ruined in the rain.
I went to a Pioneer seminar on cd jukeboxes when they decided to enter the market. The engineer told us they soon realized they first thing they had to do was design a box that ops could haul around in the back of a pickup truck exposed to the weather and survive. THEY DiD \!!! I dropped one off a Tommy lift.
With experience I could write a tutorial on transporting and protecting gear. Even on small boats or the high seas.

As an added story we dropped a 200 vynal jukebox (Wurlitzr) down a flight of stairs. It took me over an hour to put all the records in the right slots. The box still worked It had a 100 watt tube amp...
