Help..Have just got Alesis Multimix 8 USB mixer... and Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder..Have got mike from mixer working..but problem getting Siglos to work.. thru Vesa Primium. to do home recording for SS. i am computer stupid... ..SO easy...laymans terms please.. if possible.. What I am after is to sing thru mike , to words and record thut Siglos.. I Always seem to hit problems getting sound to other new softwear I Have . Do you have to reset everything each time you start up...Have tried the wrong way a 1000 times...HELP PLEASE...KENNY................. |

I don't think we should hyjack this thread, but if you use a Behringer external sound card it's pretty simple. The soundcard plugs into the usb port on the computer. The sound card has 2 RCA inputs and 2 RCA jack outputs. Those go into the mixer with a cable. Outputs from the sound card go into CD IN or a channel on the mixer. Inputs from the sound card are connected to the control room out or other signal only output on your mixer-not a speaker output. Once you have this set up you can open a recording program, press record in the program and then start your music playing and start singing. Tomorrow I'll install the software that came with the mixer, plug the USB cable from the Alesis mixer into my laptop and see how it works. I may not even need the Behringer sound card aymore. This deserves it's own thread instead of taking this thread off track. |

Cheers..Buddy..appreciate your help .Will wait to see how you get on.....Reference manul,page 18, APPLICATION 4 ie...Using the computers built in audio recorder.... OR ... USE DEDICATED DITIYAL AUDIO WORKSTATION.. IE Siglos... to record eta.. I do the singing and recording And my eldest son ,Colin the softwear...once sorted I can handle it..
