Okay, for years we've used tvs at one of our gigs - work just fine. They are on satellite for sports reasons. So, when they added digital conversion boxes to all their televisions, all of a sudden we've got a terrible problem with our video. It now rolls like a vertical hold issue...So, the singer's monitor and the main bigscreen we have plugged in to for years without problem now are almost not readable because of this rolling. Is there something I can add in-line or another cable I need to use to eliminate this problem? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

(This does not happen at our other gigs where I would assume they haven't done the digital conversion on their flatscreens because they are on cable) ????

Karen this thread prompted me to call an old friend who worked for me at one time. He is now the director of engineering at KGWN TV in Cheyenne. I had some questions concerning DTV and asked bout your problem. If you are running video to more than one tv you need a video distribution amp. At the shack they are $50.Usually your symptoms are accompanied by video degradation but karaoke graphics do not require bandwidtso it could cause sync problems because driving two monitors results in roll-off or attenuation of the sync pulses.

I split to 4 tv's without any amp or video degradation - via coax. Have never tried splitting RCA signal alone.

Interestingly I have NEVER had an issue with video reproduction on any tv we have encountered over the years - have a number of adaptors available for any situation. This one, however, has us stymied. Going to pick up a DA this aft. and give it a go. Thanks to both of you for your responses.

Okay, went to the shack and got the $50 distribution amp - solved the problem, though occasionally one of the television really wanted to roll a little. But a 99% improvement over last week. PHEW! Yeaaaahh, one more thing to carry....
