I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! Well the Bingster just got his first gig lined up! Next Thursday night. Getting paid and everything! I've give hundreds of presentations and trained hundreds of people but I'm so nervous thinking about this that I'm shaking! I hope I live to tell about the whole experience! Using house speakers so I don't need to bring my own. I may have to use their amp though, and I am not familiar with that at all! Am I walking blindly into a situation I can't handle?

What kind of house system? Any way to be able to bring in your own stuff if it's better than the houses? You don't want to have a bad sound experience for your maiden voyage!
House systems can be so iffy, depending on what it all is.

The owner of the bar is an old karaoke host according to him. He's been trying a few different hosts looking for someone with some energy. He told me he did karaoke for about 15 years and when I told him I had just bought the carvin, he stated that he had one in the basement that he would have sold to me.
Honestly I didn't think to ask him what his system is, I was planning on going down for a brew tomorrow afternoon and hanging out a bit.

Wish the gig was on a Friday, I have to work Friday morning but I can pretty much decide what time to go in. If I sing, my first song for my business will have to be Minnie the Moocher! My business name is KingBingKaraoke Entertainment.

I try to advance any gig. I pay attention to several things:

1. Imagine the position of the DJ "booth", "stage", and speaker positioning.
2. Check out electrical outlets. Extra important if you have powered speakers (one of their disadvantages).
3. Look for where cables have to be routed -- can you do overheads, crossing pathways, etc.
4. How I am going to get an audience TV screen going.
5. Dance floor area -- can we provide one?
6. Access to the booth for questions --- will they have to distract the singer? I try to provide a path to the side that won't go to close to the singer.

I've been to this bar and grill on a number of occasions. They have an ideal set up for karaoke in my opinion. It is a raised stage that cover bands play from on weekends with a heavy duty brass brace along the front to keep performers from falling off as it is about 2 to 3 foot off the floor. Directly in front of the stage is a small dance floor. The entrance to the stage is a set of steps on the left side.

Since I have powered speakers in my system, am I going to have any difficulty hooking up and figuring out the settings on the amp? Or is it just plug it into the mixer and go? I don't know the make or model of the amp yet.

I am not sure I know what you mean. You would essentially take the same cable you plug into a speaker and plug it into the amp. You are going to have to pay attention to channel EQ carefully if you are going direct from the mixer -- it is usual to have at least an eq. They may well provide one if they have an amp.
