Post subject:  DK Karaoke Equipment Need Compatible Parts or Contact Info for DK. Please Help

Hey Folks, I just wanted to know if anyone is using DK Big Echo Players DKK-200P? I have 2 of these players (Circa 1990) and I have played about 70 BaGillion songs through the years. However now I need parts as the Trays will no longer function correctly. The electronics seem to be good, But the players will not load and track the songs on the disk. Sometimes the disc Tray won't even stay closed. Any help with contact Information for DK Karaoke or compatible parts or Service would be appreciated.

Good luck DK has been out of the karaoke business since the late 90's. Might be time to get a new player or move to computer.
If it seems to still take the discs in, you might be able to take to a local electronics service shop for a good cleaning to see if that might help. I haven't even heard of one of these referenced in a forum since around 96.

I second Lonman. It sounds like the disc sensors and the reader are dirty. There's a good chance that a meticulous cleaning job will solve your problem.

It's only been out of the U.S. market since the late 90's. Daiichikosho (Dkkaraoke) has always been a leader in Japan and actually use a broadband service in the clubs to deliver music on demand. They gave up attempting to compete in a market where their own competitors refused to compete legally.
