Does anyone get an upsurge in Grammy songs being sung at their venue or have they already been done to death by this time?

"Stay" and "I Kissed A Girl" have been sung to death already. I've never had a request for the Robert Plant/Alison Kraus song, which I think won a bunch. I've never even heard it myself. Where'd that come from? Is it big?

My guys would never lower themselves to do Jonas Bros.

I fell asleep halfway through it so I don't know a lot of what else happened.

The R Plant/A Krauss album is really very enjoyable. I guess the novelty of such a previously HARD-AXXED rocker singing with one of the best ever bluegrass singers is very appealing to people. I have the duet "Gone Gone Gone" I think it's called but hubby hasn't learned it yet (He prefers the old Robert Plant I guess...)

The novelty is probably what got them all those awards - I'm really quite pleased because for me at least there is a real lack of quality, interesting, aurally pleasing music out there right now, unless you're a hip-hop or country fan.

just my 0.01 - all I have left this week...

Agree that Plant/Krauss song is very good. Actually saw a live presentation on CMT where they were doing many Zeppelin covers together - in Allison Krauss style. Interesting and actually kind of impressive. Haven't had anyone do it (Gone Gone Gone) in karaoke though.

Though I get an upsurge of requests when I prostitute myself for straight DJ work, it's definitely boredom for karaoke.

Grammy songs are really bored type of karaoke songs. I hate to sing them since they are not fitted for the theme.
