Ok,now that all my goodies are here,i'm in process of hooking it all up.
My question is,should i sell my older stuff or can i use it in my current new system.
I have A&H Zed 12FX and 2 Jbl Eon G2 with a Dbx 266l comp.
My old stuff is Yamaha Emx66 M and 2 Br15 speakers. Can you hook a powered mixer to a now powered mixer and use it as an amp to power the Br15's or should i get a separate amp if i decide i want to reuse these speakers in the new system?
Thanks

It will operate as an amp. All you have to do is feed a line-level output -- like a monitor -- to one of the channels TRS in and hook it up normally.

But it is awful bulky for that purpose. You might want to sell it and buy a small powered speaker for use as a monitor.

Good topic. One of my first systems is sitting in a shed over at the farm. This thread has given me a very good idea. I will dust it off and donate it to a seniors center. It will provide hours of entertainment for many. What do ya think?

 You can use your yamaha powered mixer and BR speakers as a separate Monitor mix from one of your AUX sends on the Allen + Heath, plugged into the Main or monitor input of your Yamaha powered mixer. I use a yamaha 62m powered mixer as a separate monitor mix from one of my Aux sends on a Mackie-CFX-12.(By the way that is a very nice feature laden mixer and I've heard that their Microphone pre-amps are Top Notch which is important for vocals in Karaoke). After you get it all hooked up let us know how you like your new equipment! P.S. A nice Powered Subwoofer would compliment that system nicely for future reference. :read:

Thanks for the advice. After i get used to the new stuff,i think i will give it a try.Yes i can see it will be a bulky item, even though it doesn't weigh to much.
I plan on a sub when i get a little bit more cash. From what i got,i went just a tad over my budget as it was.

Actually your EMX66 has a "AUX IN/2TR IN" jack. that would accept the signal from your Allen Heath and feed it to the amplifier section of the Yamaha. By the way, very nice selection on your mixer, you'll love the control you never knew you didn't have with your old rig. The Pre-Amps and EQ Section are very nice.

Well i did go for it on your recommendation from a previous post i made...SO... i hold you solely responsible for any unhappiness, dissatisfaction or second thoughts that i might incur from said recommendation. ROFL :jk:
So far it looks like it's going to be a very nice mixer,it sure is a solid well built piece of equipment and it's purty too!
