Well, I think this subject belongs in the TQ section. I'm ok with computers, can kick most people's a#$ when it comes to excel and powerpoint. But I've never tried making my own website. Is there a reasonable company out there that will set up my site for me? I did get an email from an organization called DJ Intelligence that has some pretty cool tools that some of you probably already have. Has anyone ever had their site set up for them? |

Have you tried getting a domain through godaddy.com? If you do, they will set you up with a free web design program and 5 page website called "websitetonight". They also give you a free domain email address. Since it is free, ads will appear on your site, but the program does have some helpful tools built-in to help you do things like put up a calendar, pictures, about us page, etc. Don't get me wrong, it is still hard to do fancy things, but to get a basic site up, it is not too hard. |

You might try hypermart.com resonable rate and comes with a free site builder with no ads. |

There are several options you can go. Have your own site - ie don't know your company name but ripmankaraoke.com. I host mine through ipowerweb.com cost like $4.95 per month which gives me 1.5 TB of storage and LOTS of bandwidth per month. 500 email address that you can set up through Outlook. Plus many add on feature & help with search engine placement. They also have website design that is basically type in the info & put it where you want it on the page, add pics or whatever for free as well. Simple method is just create a MySpace. |

Its not that hard to learn HTML if you have the time to build your own web site.A free HTML Editor is link There are many forums and tons of references on the web for anything you need. Some sites have templates you can tailor for your needs. If you are going to do private parties and weddings DJ Intelligence is the best. It runs about $95/yr and one party will pay for it. Thanks for all the advice. I went with godaddy. My business is KingBingKaroake Entertainment. Ripman8 moniker is just my fixation with Cal Ripken, the last of the great NON STEROID players. I'll be working on my site this weekend. Tonight, I'm ripping another 250 songs! |

Ripman8 moniker is just my fixation with Cal Ripken, the last of the great NON STEROID players. Off subject - I still cannot get over AROD - what a cheater. I wonder if all his sponsors will pull the plug on him like they did with M. Phelps? and doesn't he make more in endorsements than he does from his salary? Scott Boras is one rich man because of guys like Arod. BTW, was a big Ripken fan, too. |

Yes, he gave up the ss position in Cal's last AS game. But that was what I was referring to (ahole rod). I bet none of us hosts would take steroids! |
