I would like to buy a 19 inch computer monitor and connect the video to my karaoke player. what type of cord is available. Salesman from radio shack said no such cable exists. I find that hard to believed. Is anyone aware of what its called and where to get it . and do they make a stand for that type of monitor. |

Basically you'd be using a monitor as a tv set, so maybe you can get an idea of what you need from here http://www.cnet.com/1991-7387_1-6341848-5.html There are many adapters and cables that make the connection conversion, but there is more to it, due to resolution capabilities of both player, and computer monitor. |

You haven't described your "karaoke player" so that anyone can be sure what it is, but most of the things I guess you are talking about output video. VGA monitors don't accept video. Well, you have been completely vague in regard to what you're hooking up. You probably have an RCA video output so you're going to have to buy a converter... something like this: http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Console ... 394&sr=8-2 A cable alone ain't gonna work. Why don't you just buy an LCD monitor that already has either an S-video or RCA connection already? A VGA monitor is overkill for karaoke |
