Warned about what??? PLEASE!!!!!

The only "warning" I see is a warning NOT to buy Chartbuster crap!

Sound Choice has finally recognized that computer karaoke is the way of the future in the following statement...

So I guess they as well as the others that want my money will get it instead.

its more than likely to cover their butt with the bs they deal with from the actual artists. like some of the labels said they wont ursue anyone who has backed up their disks as long as they still own one set per system.

A completely unenforceable statement. They'd go broke just with filings for everyone that does it. Complete sillyness.

I was just out at Karaoke Cafe(owned by Chartbuster) last week where they use a computer so I wouldn't worry too much about as long as you own the original.

When I spoke to the KJ I asked him what hosting program he was using, he told me it was something that their tech guys came up with. I think he was just "yanking my chain".

I was out there (Big Mama's) a few days ago as well and the guy at the counter told me the exact same thing. I also noticed the karaoke on the usb drives that they have been selling were gone. The guy behind the counter didn't tell me why either.

WoW! That's pretty harsh. Their crap has made me a lot of money over the years and by btw, if you have any of their "crap" I'll take it off your hands as a favor to you.

We all know that Karaoke by computer is the future but none of the Karaoke suppliers really know where the solid ground on this subject is right now. They are all trying to cover their backsides.

As for Big Mamas using a computer system, their licencing agreement is probably somewhat differant for their local venue, I dunno.

Sound Choice going overseas is just their way of getting around some kind of regulation i'm sure but it wont keep me from doing business with them.

SC uttered such a rediculous thing in 04 and now they've retracted it and apologized. Lord knows how much money literally was lost to them by myself and others like me that said, "fine, we'll get our stuff from other manus".

Pop Hits monthly did the same thing, and I turned to other manus.

Chartbuster I was never that big on, but I didn't like their rock nor pop. Their older era songs were good, as was their country. They are superior to SC for country on nearly EVERY track of theirs I've tried.

But I won't purchase their stuff now.
