Greetings all, Was wondering the best way to hook up my newly purchased yamaha MSR100 monitor speaker. I want to hook it with basically vocals only to my A&H ZED12 MIXER. I only have the one monitor(not 2). Thanks |

You would patch out of the "aux 1" or "aux 2" "send jack" from the Allen Heath into the "line in jack" on your Yamaha. You control the amount of signal going to the monitor by adjusting the "aux 1" or "aux 2" send knob on the channel strip. Also, you could bleed a little of the music in, or anything else, by adjusting the appropriate "aux send" on the music channel or any other channel strip. For example, if you choose to use the "aux 1 send jack", then any channel you have the "aux 1" send knob turned up on will be fed to the monitor. Just an added note, the Aux output jacks are balanced so it would be appropriate to use a TRS (balanced) cable. |

I use the exact method and it's a fantastic way of giving the singer what they need/want without messing up the main mix. When I get someone who says they need to be louder I can do that while making sure we don't blow everyone in the audience away because the singer loves their voice that much. |
