With a CFX12 I had typical flutter like when driving EFX too high. I am running EFX 1 to a Microverb4 which has the bar indicators for input level. Returned to EFX2. On the strips I am running the EFX send at unity. I had to turn EFX send down to where the bars were at only about 50% on the input to get rid of the flutter.
For some reason I am having trouble with gain structure as far as EFX send.
Why are you running the EFX 1 send to the EFX 2 return? Run it to the EFX 1 return - or if you have open channels, run them back to a channel strip. But will work with the return for now.
On the try setting the input at 12:oclock to begin. Run the mix wide open & output to 3/4-wide open.
On the channels you want to effect, turn the EFX 1 knob up to about 9-10 oclock.
On the Master EFX 1 send (right above the internal effects section) turn up to 12 oclock. The EFX 1 return (next to the meters) turn up to about 12 oclock.
See how this does. If the input meter on the Microverb jump into the red, turn the input down a bit & you can compensate by the output knob & EFX 1 return.
