Look into MTU Microstudio
http://www.mtu.com/basics/karaoke.htm#Details

or Powerkaraoke CDG Burner
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_powercdgburner.php

Both are good that will burn the bin files & should work with your drive. Download the demos & give them a test run.

I second Powerkaraoke but not Microstudio if you don't want to impact the sound  The MTU software is the only software I know that affects the sound on the extraction, many never noticed it so it may not be a major thing for you, it's a well design and easy to use software though

Nero also burn cdg's or it can backup a disk and you sure get a great sound

Never noticed it to the exageration you always claim. I know that you are a avid hater of MTU in general, but I have pretty good ears & have not heard what you are talking about.
Again either program will do just fine.

I second Lonnie on the MTU issue. It makes perfect copies every time. Since I read Micky's post I've gone back and tested MTU again. I still don't notice a difference between the original and the MTU copy.

The only MTU software I've not liked is Keyrite. When I use it to lower the key, even one-half step, the bass line gets wobbly. I've exchanged e-mails with them and what they've told me is that they have an issue with the software license for the algorithm they use. That was a while ago and since then they have published an upgrade but the problem still exists. According to MTU their engineers can hear this but I am the only customer who has brought it up. Hmmm.

Other than that I have been very happy with MTU and plan to keep on using them.

That's not true, I don't hate MTU at all  I have Microstudio and Keyrite but what can I say, I can clearly hear it... but of course, when you're using the software for live with an EQ and all the noise, you won't notice it! I simply don't recommend their products because if I'm going to spend for something, I expect something in return. If you're pleased with their software I'm happy for you, you got something worth your money, for me, they need to provide a better sound engine, better key changer, graphic on the proper resolution like Karawin & Karafun are doing. If the software were free, I'd say nothing like I do with Winamp

They know about the "quivering" on Keyrite, trust me, it's a decision they took on calling it "Pro" and I won't be the one recommending it

If Hoster is ever built on the Bass engine, I'll be the first to promote, you can take my word

I used to use CDRWIN and MP3+G toolz on my old desktop computer but couldn't get it to work on my new laptop at all.

I did as suggested above and went to "PowerKaraoke". Absolutely brilliant program - I purchased it straight away (after trying the download). Does everything at the click of a button.

I think CDRWIN has had its day.

Mickey, this is pure bs, You wouldnt promote MTU in any shape fashon or form for any reason. It's personal, and you know it. you have always been the first to slam them.
I'm sure Im Not the only reader here to recognize that.

Don't confuse him with me.

Sounds like *you* are the one with the emotions here. I personally think their sound is just fine. What I hate is their user interface, and things like their search engine which is more relevant to 1979 than 2009. Exact-string-only searching went out with the dodo, but here it is 2009 and that's what you get with MTU Hoster.

CDRwin is pretty particular on which version you have if it recognizes newer drives... That IS the one drawback I didn't like about it.

BUT having said that, I did buy it again when I got a newer pc... just so I wouldn't have to relearn another burning program!
