The Backstage are their own manufacturer as far as I know. Karaoke hits have quite a few versions that sound SURPRISINGLY close to the old Pioneer versions, but then they have a few that sound really midi quality. However I do not think they are affiliated with Pioneer in any way.

Ah no wonder they sound alot like the old Pioneers. That's where they got some of their original music.

If the legends are true, Karaoke Hits used to be KJ Tools and KJ tools got sued by Pioneer because they stole the audio track and changed the graphics.

Since then those tracks have been floating around under various company names.

Now somewhere in time a line called Super Core, which I believe borrowed without permission, The Karaoke hits, Kj Tools, Music Maestro, Sunfly and a few other companies.

You'll see that Backstage now consists of different companies like All Hits, Standing Ovation, Mega Hits, Sound Image, Performance Tracks to name a few. Now I believe that same owner of that company is tied in with Sweet Georgia Brown because I saw an All Hits disc with altered Sweet Georgia Brown tracks on it.

It's just a reminder of the "Buyer Beware" especially in karaoke bargin basket

There must be some relation between HOt Stuff and Backstage. I believe that some of the Backstage & Hot Stuff Dixie Chic tracks are identical to each other...100%. I always thought that NU-Tech owned them both. I do not recall where I got that info so it may be incorrect.
