He's talking about the editting and adding stuff to already created songs. It actually interfers with the sync rights that karaoke pruducers have to pay to allow them to display the lyrics. |

Karaoke Builder & Karaoke Builder Studio will allow you to add pictures and text to existing karaoke tracks. You have to read the instructions very carefully and I think you have to add your pics and text to instrumental areas of the songs or you write over the existing lyrics so be careful. As far as the legalities are concerned....there are many karaoke pirates out there that no one is bothering to prosecute so I doubt it VERY MUCH that the powers that be are NOT going to go after someone for adding a little creativity to a a few karaoke tracks that they legally purchased. Have fun creating your new tracks and don't worry about the non existent karaoke boogie men. |

Yeah, go ahead and worry about the karaoke boogie man. That's the thing about boogie men, you never know when they're going to strike. In order to make the pictures work within the CDG format they would be limited to four colors and it takes just more than two seconds to do a screen refresh and that is far too slow for most animation. You could turn it into an AVI or one of the other movie formats and get the same result. As for the sync license.... |
