MORE INFO. By sound, do you mean music, hum, vocal noise, or?
Since it's an all in one, switching out the speakers can't be done. Is the sound you mean music? If so, no media (source) no sound- remove the disc.
If I recall, this unit has an EQ section. Try sliding all to 0. If this eliminates the noise, slowly bring them up one by one until you hear the noise again. When you do, you'll know which sextion is overdriven.
If it's a hum, it may not originate in the unit at all. You may be picking up a harmonic or RF interference- This means installing filters. The noise could also come from the power supply.
I could go on forever, so again, what KIND of sound?
