Post subject:  Help I'm New Here
Hello to all you great singers this is a good site, but I am having a hard time finding my way around. Can someone please tell me if I need some speical software or whatever hmmm to be able to sumit a song. I do understant that my song file has to be 3MB or less and in mp3 format , but what I don't understand is how do I make my song smaller then 3MB.
All the help I get would be wonderful Thanks

Hi and welcome. There is a lot of editing software that will allow you to compress the bit rate of the recording. Or, if you do what I do, I actually end up burning my own CD and then use software that allows me to rip the recording--- I just set the conversion rate at a lower setting (usually about 80 kb/sec). First get yourself a wave/mp3 converter. There's loads about as freeware. Just Google it. When you convert to mp3 set the bitrate at somewhere between 64 and 80 bit and that should make your file small enough to post.
