I recently got a Yamaha MG124CX. Lovely mixer...

But it comes with such a bulky power adaptor. Which terminates in a standard UK 3pin plug.

My power rack has IEC power outputs...

Is an adaptor available or something?

Didn't know that was the UK standard, interesting. I use that mixer myself but have no insight on it. I just wanted to echo your "Lovely mixer" sentiment. I rather like it very much.

In the uk, we have a standard consumer plug that is 3-pin like this:

However, most power strips worthwhile use IEC...

Hence, the issue!

IEC isn't enough to identify, really. There are a dozen or more connector pin patterns given that label.

I would think that 3-pin to IEC would be a common adapter cord if your power strip is the same voltage as your mains power.

The MG series that are sold in Malaysia are made in Indonesia. The one that we use have no such issue.

Because the mixer has phantom power you are not going to be able to find a smaller power supply that will work properly.

I've just realised... It's the same wattage/ampage/voltage - just a different form factor. Am gonna snip the cable and wire on an IEC plug...
