I am a bit new to karaoke, I am told I have a good voice and heve even taken 4 mos. of singing lessons. My problem is this. The songs I like to sing are often not in the menu of the KJ and I would like to practice theses songs at home so people don't leave when I get to the mic. I cannot seem to find a good way to buy the dozen or so songs I would like to sing in CD+G. Question #1 Where is a good download site that I can pay for only the songs I want? Question #2 Would it be better for me to buy software that removes the main vocal track instead? If so, which program is the best. Thanks in advance, |

Although you can try to remove vocals from music, it is generally a very tedius, time consuming task, and often the end result is not of the highest quality. It is also opens up some potential legal concerns. Some Karaoke systems have a "vocal remover" feature, but it is generally a very poor solution. Karaoke music lags behind the release of new music, so the absolute latest songs are probably not going to be available on Karaoke yet. Also the more obscure songs will often not be available. Downloading Karaoke songs costs between .99 cents (for a few very old standards) to about $3 - $4 for the newer stuff. Many site have a download minimum (like 5 song minimum, etc.) Here are some sites you can look your songs up on. www.buykaraokedownloads.com www.selectatrack.com http://www.tricerasoft.com/cgi-bin/Kara ... /index.asp http://www.mykaraokecdg.com.au/customer/home.php |

Heads up for the OP -- this does not appear to be a legal site. I downloaded a few from them before I guessed this but am not counting them among my legal collection. |
