WoW ! That case is awsome ! This is the only place I've found for the rack ears http://www.thomann.de/gb/allenheath_zed14rackkit.htm If your handy with a tape measure, and know someone who can bend and drill a couple of strips of aluminium, then make your own otherwise it looks like a hellish expensive rack kit ! Good luck |

BTW I think the side cheeks come off the mixer for mounting so take that into account when measuring if you decide the home made rack kit route. My 2 cents (pence) |

thanks for that gunghouk m8. The mixer is so easy to get hold of but but not as easy for the ears and like you say they wouk out expensive for a couple of metal strips ,when you think what im getting in that rack ,going by the price of the official rack ears i should of paid a £1000 for the flight case . |

Sweet mother of all that is good and pure!!!! That rack just made me feel very VERY inferior. Not only as a KJ but also as a human. Nice purchase! Am jealous! I'm off now to question my entire life now... |

Nlouch dont worry for the moment i wont beable to fill it so there will be a bit of open space ,but plenty of room to put a few cables and this ,so keeps everything together in one unit when moving around.got 3 single rack items to go in it and a behringer ep2500 amp ,not sure what that is 3u or 4u so about 6u or 7u taken up for now ,butb will build it slowly. |

You could let it out to a small family! Or install drawers, so your cables are kept nicely... Either way |

I plan on mounting my laptop into a drawer (on a docking plate). |

main thing that putting me off doing that was when the laptops out during a show it means you have to lean over it to adjust mixer or go under it to adjust anything on the rack, unless you keep folding the screen down but that will wear the lappy a bit. so will be appy with it on ther side table. |

Fair comment, and something I hadn't considered. Still, a drawer is handy to keep it in |

Unless you are a really good carpenter/machinist, you can't make them yourself. And the result is worth it. You saved at least 30 pounds on your rack, so spend it wisely. |
