So..good post on Compression equipment...sounds like a good addition...what about the true-tone products that can correct vocal pitch issues?...do they work well?..any recommendations on the best products (assuming they work)...and...do any support both compression AND vocal-pitch? |

Compression yes, vocal pitch (harmonizers & pitch correctors) not so much, main reason they need to be adjusted every song to the key of the song plus why give the false sense to anyone. |

Aw ! ![]() That would spoil the fun factor for everyone else ![]() But seriously I believe the unit by Antares is OK and TC Electronic make a hugely expensive but effective solution. There are issues using these with vocal monitors confusing the hell out of the singer. There is a thread running on this topic in the LAB Lounge here :- http://srforums.prosoundweb.com/ Bottom line is I wouldn't shell out all that cash for one. My 2 cents |

I would think that biggest use for these units would be in a studio for post-production of poor vocals...no? |
