I'm looking for anything by Richard Cheese or things in that style...

I've a good voice for lounge, and can play up the cheesy sleazy side. It'd be fun to do a few covers...

Thanks

I've been waiting for Richard Cheese karaoke discs ever since I first heard him years ago. I think they would be very popular.

C'mon, Dick! Make it happen

Richard Cheese's renditions of Baby Got Back and She Hates Me would be done nightly in my room if I had them.

At least until the novelty wore off.

Since it is mostly just piano music, I would think that vocal removal software might work great with these type of songs. I just tried it on a few of his songs and it came out rather well. I don't think that I would sing his versions of songs so I wouldn't spend any time making the cdg files for his stuff but for someone that really wanted to sing those songs, there is a viable option.

May I suggest anything by Mike Flowers? Famous in the UK for his cheesey lounge lizard remakes of famous songs...and there are karaoke tracks out there of his...

Mike Flowers only had the 2 hits though, but yeah, he's already in my book.

Will try a vocal remover :)

on the old defunct Jolt forum, there was manufacturers that were included in talks to get some Richard Cheese stuff. Zoom had been pretty serious, but then backed out.

I know Harryoke in Southern Florida really was a huge fan and had even been in talks with Richard himself... everything was a go for some permissions, and then it all fell through.

Yeah, I remember those threads on Jolt. Too bad it didn't happen.
