While surfing the net one day I came across a store that offered money on used equipment but I can`t remember who it was... Does anyone know of an online store that does that?

Often times some of the local music stores will take trades of older equipment in good shape (or highly desireable in no matter what shape), but will usually only pay 5-10% of what it actually would be worth. A $300 Behringer mixer/amp in mint condition would only get $15-20 on trade toward a new piece of gear. If you are going through an online source, this is even going to be less (more than likely) due to having to pay shipping costs to get it there as well! You'd be better off trying to sell the gear yourself locally or through e-bay with the buyer responsible for shipping costs.

I was able to sell my Carvin PA1200C amp and 1584 speakers a few years ago by posting them on craigslist.com and recycler.com. I took pictures of the units and posted them on those websites. You will get ridiculous offers, scam attempts, but there are decent buyers out there looking for a bargain. I managed to get decent prices for those units because they were in pristine condition. I really took good care of them and the buyers were happy to buy them.

I actually bought my Carvin DCM2500 from a fellow who used to work for Carvin and his band didn't work out. I bought the unit for only $300 (retail $599) and it was brand new. He also had the DCM2000, DCM1500, and DCM600 for sale but I didn't buy them. I now regret not taking advantage of the opportunity. I also bought a Carvin XC3000 crossover and a wireless mic at bargain prices. They were already used, but they were in still in mint condition.
