Post subject: | Siglos Question |
So I have siglos installed and working but there seems to be some problem with my songs not showing up when I try to add a new singer, there are no songs in the database even tho i have the CD I just riped saved to a folder on my Desktop. Do I need to save the songs to siglos or what in order for them to show up so i can just scroll down find the song and just hit add and continue |

not that many of us know Siglos... Have you tried to play the songs using ANOTHER program? Such as KaraokeBuilder's Player, which plays off the .cdg file. Winamp, or karafun... If they play using another software, This will tell you the problem is the player software and not a hardware or software limitation of ripping the discs. As for Siglos help, have you tried talking to the people who made it?? There's supposed to be some good tech advice there! |

I know the solution to your problem. Even though you have your MP3 + G files sitting there, you need to READ THEM INTO THE SIGLOS DATABASE before you can use them. It can't see them until it updates it's database. So for example, you first rip your files into a known location (internal or external), then tell Siglos you want to update the song database, browse to the location, and have it "read" in the files. Once they are in the database, you can select them. Also, keep in mind that the database can read them even if the MP3+G (2 files) are together in zipped files. It can read zipped files directly. This is just in case you are trying to save space. Of course it can read them if they are not zipped as well. |
