Here are some more discs for sale under $5 @ Total Karaoke. I cannot find exact s/h cost details. Has anyone ever used this vendor before?

I see most of the manus are Sweet Ga Brown, Backstage, and other lower-quality manus.

I believe that I have made purchases from them in the past from their "cheapo" disc collection! Not only was satisfied with their practices but the products purchased served my purposes. Some were children's songs for my grandkids!

And if my recollection is correct, that site is the same as expresskaraoke.com

Backstage and MM are generally very poor quality.

Though I agree in regard to Backstage, Music Maestro is probably the BEST when it comes to oldies and doo-wop. They also carried many titles that no one else has. Since MM is out of business, I will be checking this place out for some gems.

I also see Sound Choice there for 4.99- one in particular with some very recent tracks....

If Total and Express Karaoke are indeed the same, Express has fast shipping and very good service. Once they even emailed me to make sure I really wanted 2 of the same disc--I had made a mistake on my order. They have only sent the wrong disc once and once notified, they sent the correct one before we sent the wrong one back.--they included a shipping envelope when they sent the correction.

We got the complete Velvet Elvis MM collection from them on sale for $50 and the Doo Wop Collection for $19. There are a few songs with some major lyrics mess-ups (Band of Gold comes to mind) but our older Doo Wop/Elvis crowd loves them.

I tried a few MM discs, and found them pretty good overall. Some were crap, some were golden. 38 Special's "If I'd Been the One", despite the timing issues, is in my feeling, better than the SC version. Or maybe I'm biased as I sang on that for over two years before SC FINALLY released it. They did that a lot, to the point even if the SC version was better, many times I didn't replace it as my singers were used to the other versions. Some of course HAD to be replaced! LOL!

Nutech is another hit and miss company. One disc that surprised the heck outta me is NU2002. Their version of Amy Grant's "I Will Remember You" is so spot on it's scary!

A lady just did the MM Velvet Elvis version of "You Were Always On My Mind" tonight and it was snappier than the Willie version and really actually very enjoyable. Sometimes I'm embarrassed when the old MM comes up on the screen and other times I think it was some of the best money I ever spent. It does make the older crowd happy to have those songs.

I think their shipping and handling is NOT bad, it is just want it is supposed to cost. Of course, I would prefer FREE shipping and handling, but that is not possible all the time. They have a very good selection of titles, you just need to make sure you consider the shipping when you are deciding what to buy. I used to work in a warehouse a LONG time ago, and I wonder how these Internet Companies offer Free shipping. They must be losing money to get more customers, or they are just trying to pull in a bunch of New Customers before they raise the shipping. I sold a few of my extra duplicates on eBay, and it was AMAZING how high the shipping was. I sent one disc by US Mail and it was almost $2 whether it was shipped by First Class or Media Mail. I sent 15 disc by UPS and it was 11.75.

The cost of everything is totally getting out of hand. We should be lucky we are on this side, even though sometimes I have my doubts!

That is absolutely ridiculous, but I never only purchase 1 disc. Most of these sites are not good when you purchase only 1 disc. I totally agree it is out of line when you are only interested in 1 or 2 items.
