So I have used the Vocopro 5805 UHF set for a couple weeks, and I had one of my partners take it to a venue with a really bad electrical ground and a lot of RF noise. I asked my singers what they thought, and I cringed when one drunk guy dropped one on the tile dance floor, then tripped on a monitor wedge picking it up, fell down, dropped the mic again, and then dropped the monitor again as he was trying to put it back. It was an aweful lot of abuse to my stuff in 30 seconds, but man was it funny. He somehow unplugged the TV video signal cord in the process too. Anyway, the mic survived (as did the TV cord and monitor wedge) and comments from the singers have been positive. One experienced singer even likes the Vocopros better than my beloved Heil PR20s. I think a lot of the difference is weight; my Sennheiser wireless mics are heavy, as are the Heils; and those Vocopros are like singing into a feather. Also, the battery life seems good. We left one on for 7 hours and the LED was still green, as opposed to yellow or red. I think this was a great purchase for $350 and we are going to get another set if not two. |

Oh no! You can’t be saying that Vocopro is not junk. I agree. |

Good info. Just stay away from the cheaper models... |

I currently have the Vocopro UHF-5800 set. They are surprisingly good for their price range. Really nice being able to rack mount four wireless receivers in a single rack space and still get four individual outputs. I had to buy new microphones in response to the DTV conversion and subsequent loss of the 700MHz range (my Vocopro's of course all operate in that range) and I was looking at the 5805's. The one thing that worried me about them was that with them being rechargeable, if the battery dies in the middle of a show, you're done using that mic for the night. By contrast with the 5800's if the AA's die, you just put a new set in the mic and still have the use of all four. I'll be very curious to hear how the 5805's work out for you in the long term. Definitely glad to hear that you're happy with your purchase, that's awesome!! P.S. - if anyone is wondering, I ended up buying two of the Shure PG288's (2 dual mic kits) instead to replace my current 5800's. |

I considered the battery thing and very nearly bought the 5800 instead of the 5805, but so far the battery life seems great. How that will change as the batteries wear, I do not know; but I suspect the mics will get damaged by singers before the batteries can no longer hold a useful charge. |

Yeah that's probably very true. Do keep us informed as time goes on as to how they perform for you. I'm very curious to see. BTW if they do get damaged, Vocopro is very good about replacing them for a very reasonable price. My former business partner broke one of our 5800 series mics and I think it was like $80 to replace. |

I've used the Vocopro VHF-3000 dual mic system and it worked just fine, plenty good for Karaoke. The sound was good, the handsets are metal and look and feel professional. $75 with free shipping for the dual mic system at amazon.com Hard to beat at that price. |
