I parted ways with my bar this morning with no grudges or regrets The owner did express an interest in buying my system. What would your price be? My min would be 5 k but more like 7 grand. Anything less I would rent it out to a would be karaoke host. It is actually worth 10.
What are your thoughts? It is like my child which I have put blood sweat and tears in for about 10 years. If I did sell it I would go to Oregon and sing with Charm and we would go up to Lon's show. Then down to Dallas then up to KC and meet Matt then up near Chicago.. Dreams!!!

Description of system on web below. Those 13 k SC I talked about on a hard drive in another thread I did find out the owner had the originals I made one hell of a deal. I have spent many hours renaming and revamping my library. It consists of over 12k of SC and the rest is CB and THM. For a complete list here is a pdf[
I dont even list the rest. I have the full SGB and Sava some LC and LG and others. It is one of the best selections ever.

You are selling the original discs AND your system, or just the system? 13K songs is about 800 or so discs, right??
PA equipment is really only worth about 1/3-1/2 of what you paid for it. I'd say your system itself with the components listed on you Web site is worth about $2,000.00 at the most, assuming it is all in a case and includes mic stands, speaker stands, all cables, etc., as well.
If you have the original discs, I'd say 13K songs of mostly sound choise would go for about another $2,000.00 - 3,000.00 or so on Ebay. Used discs seem to go for about 1/4 to 1/5 of new price.
So I'd say that you realistically should expect about $5,000.00 for your entire system and music in a private party sale. If you don't have the original discs, then cut that # in half.
I don't see any way that it is worth $10,000.00. Good system, just PA equipment generally has lousy resale value overall. I buy alot of newer used equipment just for that reason.

Agree with this. $5000 max with the original discs included.
