Once in awhile people ask about lcd stands. I never could find mine online but run into it. The top plate adjusts from any angle horizontal to vertical. I cut 2 notches in the top of it and mounted brackets on the monitor using the mounting holes. I also ran the power cord and RCA video up thru the hollow tube. It works real good stand |

Let me highly recommend this one! http://www.karaoke.com/cgi-bin/WebObjec ... ku=AST4208 got this a few months back when it went on sale, and I love it. It adjusts up and down, and hold your LCD suspended in place nicely... my singers love it too and it accomidates a large array of sizes. I said earlier their warehouse is just down the street from me, and I can just go to their store on Saturdays and buy their stuff.... NO SHIPPING! ![]() |

Just got my second AST4208 for about half the price I paid for the first one thanks to that retailers sale price plus a 20% coupon. I upgraded the wheels with a set of far studier 3in wheels from IKEA (they came with the right size metric threads as a bonus!). The wheels were $10 a pair in the office section. The other upgrade is to screw a 100mm VESA wall mount onto the mount part of the stand and use that as a quick release for the monitor. Wheels: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40134187 Monitor wall mount: http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... 1&format=2 I'd like to route the cables through the tubes too but initial attempts have not yielded success. I had to cut and splice (solder) and tape to get the power cord through. Then soldered a RCA plug on the end of the video cable. |

As stated above the only negative is the cheap casters tend to break easily. I didn't know about Ikea having the M8 thread casters, but I did find a caster company that sells larger & stronger ones on ebay for $2.98 each. |

I made my own LCD tv stand . I put a 16" tv inside what looks like a speaker box, but it actually is the tv, and places it on a small tripod stand that was originally for a B-52 speaker. The entire thing weighs about 15 pounds, tv and stand together. I was tired of having to lug around a big tv, and having to use whatever was available at my venue. Now I don't need anything extra, I have it all at my fingertips. If I could figure out how to post a pic on here, I would show you all. But, I really haven't figured everything out in the forum yet. I really am a caveman when it comes to a lot of stuff. |

You cant actually upload pics here, you link to pics hosted elsewhere. An easy way to do it is to go to "www.tinypic.com". Upload your pic and they will even give you the code to paste into your message here so it will display. Caveman proof! |

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=mkf828&s=5 Ok, let's see if this works! This is me crossin' my fingers!!!. This is my stand for my 16" LCD tv monitor that I made from scratch. It's simple and easy to set up, plus it's light weight. It has rca video inputs on the back, and the power cord easily hides inside the box, ready to pull out and use. The tripod part cost me $29.99 at Guitar Center. The rest of the box was pretty easy to make, it only took me about 3 hours to complete. Total cost of the box was about 30 bucks, including the hardware, screw and wiring connections. I probably would have been able to get stuff cheaper if I lived in a larger area with better availability. Scott Edit: The stand is fully adjustable as well. I usually set it all the way down, but it will go up about 9 more inches. |

I should have said "Most Forums". ![]() And mrscott...if you notice when you uploaded the pic there were several boxes displayed with codes in them. One was for "forums". If you cut-n-paste that code directly into your post here, the pic will display without having to click on it (if it is not too big). It looks something like this: ![]() |

I got this one http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR275588 The mic holder and beer holder went straight in the bin (Who the hell wants a beer holder near their equipment??). The stand itself is made of steel and is strong and sturdy as hell. It could easily hold a 32" with no problems if anyone is mad enough to do that! All the fittings are very robust so it will last a long time. The one in that link is a little expensive, I just googled it. I paid £58.00 for mine. |

I disagree. I am going to install a beer holder on my stand. It will be in a manner that it can't hurt anything. Discourages them from setting it elsewhere that could be a problem. And I love my mic holders on my stand. I keep 2 on the stand, the third for me unless I have a group onstage. |

You'll probably rethink that once you have to replace equipment due to drinks spilling into them by careless singers. I also don't allow drinks on stage anymore due to this very thing. |

Post subject: | Re: LCD Stand |
I threw away the mic holders. Somebody could trip on the mic cords and pull the lcd over. Once you see a cracked display you are very careful. Sometimes we will put a small table in the back of the singing area. They will put their drinks on it. |
