Would like to hear the pro's and cons of using a decent dual cd player with digital outputs and a DECODER for cdg's for Karaoke .

I'm looking to build a compact 2nd system for both KARAOKE HOSTING and also DJ'ing. NOT GOING TO BUY THE VOCOPRO CDG8000 PRO

Haven't personally seen a set up using a regular CDPLAYER w/DECODER and don't want to buy the equipment without knowing what I'm getting into :roll:

A buddy of mine used a Pioneer carausel (sp) unit with a digital decoder and he loves it. Pretty cool I think.

I was thinking of doing the same thing as a backup. I have a twin tray cd player in my rig thats just for regular music, I'm thinking of adding a decoder to it and use it as a backup player to my JVC.

For the price of the decoder you can pick up a refurbished JVC triple......
