Was reading another post about the wireless shure mic and other things Bought on Craigslist, Thought it would be fun to share some Craigslist HOT finds.

I have bought many Items on Craigslist but my favorite and all time Score so far is
A BOSE L1 with a B1 bass module For $500.00 cash
I already had a BOSE L1 so I went to look at it and it was in excelent shape the guy was getting divorced and needed to liquidate, he had other lower offers I emailed him and told him if it was in good shape he would get $500.00 cash in hand within the hour.

My first BOSE L1 cost me $1999.00

I got there tested it paid him and he threw in a new Shure SM58, mic cord ,and a boom mic stand.... now for my show's I use Both Bose systems One on each side of the stage...

What have you gotten off Craigslist??

That has got to be the deal of the century. I doubt anyone can top it.

A few days ago I got a decent deal. Picked up a music stand, mic stand, Sennheiser e815 mic, mic cable and a guitar stand for $50. About 6-8 months ago I got a pair of old Peavey 115s for $65, but my best deal was when was first starting out about a year and a half ago I got a pair of EV Sx100 speakers with heavy duty steel stands and a pair of really heavy duty speaker cables for $400. That works out to about $150 each-they go for $429+tax each new. A couple of months a ago I got 4 Sennheiser e835 mics for $20 a piece and a Peavey PV1500 amp for $140.

Lots of good deals on craig's list if you have the time to watch it and can act quickly.

Well it wasn't a Karaoke relatd purchase, but I bought a complete drum kit with everything included for $600. It's a 5 piece Premier kit, came with Paiste cymbals (crash, ride and HH), DW3000 double kick pedal, Rok n Sok Nitro Throne and a set of Roto Toms. The cymbals, throne, pedal and roto toms were were what I paid on their own. Turned out to be a really really good deal.

Roland XP-80 workstation: $350
SCI Prophet 600 synthesizer: $300

Yeah I know those are keyboards. Great deals though. So here's some stuff that I also use for karaoke:

Yorkville Elite EF-508s: $550 (For the pair! In perfect condition out of a church install! The best CL purchase I've ever made.)

Bose 802s: $80. For the pair again. These needed some work though. I've got about $300 invested in them.

My most recent CL purchase - DBX 166A: $75.

They're not the most highly regarded speakers here, but they kick butt over what I used to have. Peavey PR-15s, a pair off CL for $250, like new. This is after I had bought new ones for $400. Doh!

This topic inspired me to search and I found this:

***1 Wharfedale EVP15-PSB Powered/Active 15" Subwoofer $130

Good deal? Seems like it to me!

I got a QSC powered 15" sub for $500.

Other than that I haven't found anything fantastic. People here over price everything.

I bought a pair of Yorkville LS800P powered subs off of CL. I paid $1600, including shipping and both of them are in great shape and work flawlessly.

I also was lucky to get a pair of EV SX500+ only used in a studio environment for $500 for the pair. They run around $700 new each. And those are looking brand new. I still have them for sale by the way... (hint hint).

I doubt that it will shake the world with only 300 watts RMS, but for 130 bucks it would be hard to turn down especially if you are running without a sub now or are using 12's on top. It could really free up some power on the top end. I see it has 120 hz low pass in it so it would be easy to incorporate.

I picked up a pair of SM450s for $400 with heay duty windup stands and monster cables. One year old, had sat in the guy's living room unused. I also picked up an SM58 with cord, new in bag, for $50. had to drive a ways for it but was totally brand new. It is a great resource, especially now when people are in need of dough. I've flipped some stuff of CL, too. Will be putting my drumkit on soon - just don't get to play it enough and my garage has gotten significantly smaller lately. Must be the rain.

Oh, also picked up a Shure SM58 headset mic and transmitter, not really new but in great working order, $100. Now that I think about it, I've picked up a LOT of music gear off CL. Seattle CL is huge, much more well used than most other cities, based on peeks now and then.

Wow those SRM 450s were a good deal. There are a lot of great finds in this thread.

To anyone browsing this thread: before buying new, check out your local Craigslist! It's a great resource for gear. I look mine over just about every day.

A hellagood guitarist, a great bass player, a terrific pedal steel player, and an awesome harmonica player.

Craigslist rocks. I never even bother going to Ebay anymore- all buying, selling, advertising, all done on Craigslist.

Haven't even looked for speakers yet, but I'm definately looking there before shopping for brand new ones.

I bought a pair of EV single 15 pa cabs last year for $250.A pair of Kustom 10+horn pa cabs with nice heavy duty stands for $100. an Acoustic (control corp) 2-15 bass guitar cab for $175 . a pair of Sonic single 15 cabs for $150 (for sale again).

Last year I bought out another Karaoke co, Mostly for his disks, good mics, good stands , nice TV ect. I re sold the Fender powered mixer and speakers for 1/3 of my investment. I re sold the Kustom speakers for $50 without the stands.

I also booked a really good gig for my former partner off craigslist. he still does the show every other week pretty much. I Booked a 5 night run at our county fair off of craigslist also. just think how many contacts I will make at that county fair!! I check craigslist 2 - 3 times a week for all four area major cities. I have never bothered to post there looking for shows as i think there are usually one or two others offering low priced shows in the area.
