Post subject:  New Job

I want to let everyone know I am starting a new job tomorrow. I have been out of work since December so this a real good thing. I haven't been posting much but I have been reading eveyone else's posts. Frankly I have been somewhat afraid and depressed about the job situation and just didn't have anthing to say. Anyway I will be a on the road as a Portrait Photographer with a fund raiser/church directory company. It has been 22 years since I worked as a photographer so I am going to have to do a few weeks of training before they will send me out solo. Very excited to have a job again.

Who knows maybe I might be able to visit some shows while I am out on the road.

Set the wayback machine..

Many years ago, I toured Nashville shooting pictures.. (And Omaha, Wichita, too)

Many fun times there..

Good luck on the new gig..

Thanks, JD and Morgan (brain freeze only rememeber you screen name) for wishing me well. I have been on the phone a bit letting freinds and family know. All the regulars on this forum seem like freinds too even though we have never met.

Congrats Jim !

The economy has been rough for many of my friends. It is so sad to see people losing their jobs after 20 - 30 yrs of service. The bright side of it though is many of these people change careers and are happier than ever. I wish you the best!

I think Vicki meant to mention cousin Bubba Murrlyn too;)

That's awesome news Jim... the industry I work in, I hear people coming in every day saying they lost a job/can't find a job/having to rely on savings to live... etc

Great that you'll be working again, and a bit of travel... nice perk!

Wait a sec... Auntie Charm? (make me sound like an old fart)

Well, I guess that's how I'm always known to all the kiddies.. everybody treats me like an auntie.

But I'm about to be Gramma Charm again any day now, Cheyenne is literally busting at the seams:)

Guys, I was in Bessimer AL training with another photographer last weekend and I am going back down to Birmingham AL this weekend. This will complete my training and I will be going by myself after that. Problem areas I need to work on are posing and speed. Babs, Murrlyn and BlueStainedShoes thanks for the congrats.
