Eminem new album will be released the 15th of this month..NOW..I am by no means a hip hop fan but my singers sure like his stuff..so i will get what I can from the album..anyway how does everyones singers like EMINEM??

Thankfully none gets requested at our show. Besides, with the language content on every song that I do have, the club wouldn't allow it anyway.

An Eminem rap or two pretty much every week in my place. Dunno about new Eminem and how that will work. My guess would be probably not. Just the classics.

Hey I've been known to do "Just Lose It" and I make a point never to say an F bomb or G word, either over the mic or in lyric. In fact a female asked me to rap that one along with her - in her turn - last week.

Actually it's an old schoolyard rhyme quoted in the rap. It's kind of a clever thing really. He's a smart guy.

I can't stand the moron. Does the guy have talent? I guess so, that many people who buy his crap can't be wrong.

I do think he's FUNNY! I watched the video that caused all the hubbub where he spoofed celebs, such as Britney, Jessica Simpson, Govenor Palin (or the Husler "nailin' pailin'")... but after a few moments, I found myself getting a headache listening to it.

I did suffer all the way though it, and if that's the best the CD can have... I stand convinced my original thoughts about the guy are true!

I actually LIKE some of his stuff, but he sure does whine like a little bey-ach about his momma and crap... jeezus!

The cussing is a bit much too. Thankfully, only on very RARE occasions does he get requested, because as bad as it is to listen to the original, is sucks big donkey ...um you know , to hear it done poorly!

As far as I'm concerned, the world would be a better place had he kept his mouth shut and never recorded a thing. All he did was rip off other peoples' riffs and write his own hate-promoting lyrics to them. Whoever thought he had talent should be fired.
His total disrespect of his mother should be a crime. No matter what she did, she IS his mother and at least deserves respect for that. And airing his dirty laundry in public about it makes him look like the ungrateful @ss that he is. As far as I'm concerned, that trumps anything his mother ever did by a long shot. I refuse to allow that "music" in my home and hope and pray no one ever requests it. So far, no one has. Come to think of it, I should redo my books and remove him, along with Celine Dion and Mariah Carey (for other reasons).

Now how can you say that about an Oscar Meyer Weiner ...er... Oscar winner.

I seem to remember my Sister saying something like this to her kids about Marilyn Manson....and my parents saying the same thing to me about Alice Cooper. My Mom tells the story of HER mother complaining about that talentless, disgusting, crude singer named Elvis.

The more things change...the more they stay the same.

In the 1800s, even Stephen Foster was considered crude and offensive.

To set the record straight, by far the most popular Eminem raps done in my place are the upbeat and least offensive ones - "Real Slim Shady" "Without Me" "Just Lose It". I have never had anyone rap "Cleaning Out My Closet" in my three plus years of karaoke hosting.

And if he does keep cleaning out his closet on his new CD, he will be dismissed as irrelevant by everyone so he'd better move on.

And I might have overstated how much Eminem is done in my room, because that's only been recently with the addition of a couple of new people. Over time he's been done only a few times a month.

So what do you think of Lil Wayne folks?

Like Bill I have the tamer Eminem songs sung. I don't mind them. If I hear rap it's usually the old school stuff. A little rap once in a while makes things interesting. I still get a kick out of Ice Ice Baby when it's done well.

Kid rock is huge right now. That's the newer rap I've been hearing lately.
