I was checking this site as see the name in another posting. I have seen items in their library from a Canadian karaoke company that I don't believe has licensed their library to anyone. The price for the tracks seem nonsensical. .79 to .99 for tracks too low. I also see no manufacturers logos on the site. Other sites like www.Proburn.com show company logos like Sound Choice.

Any comments or experiences? Feedback would be appreciated.

I do not believe they are. I do hate the fact they don't list which manus the songs are from though. Especially on multiples, you have no idea what the quality is.

All I know is that their billing address is in Las Vegas, and that they have paid Google enough to come up first as a sponsored search. They're out there with a presence that's very big and for all to see. They're no shrinking violets.

Terry I would say with 99.99% certainty the Canadian manufactured music is not licenced. Karaokemaker couldn't even afford the licence for a second run on the Trooper disc and some of the others.

I was already of that mind when I posted the question. If you want to read something funny - look at their T&C page. They dictate that you can't copy their tracks and give them or sell them to anyone else. Head Office for the company is in Winnipeg MB. I think a call to the RCMP might be in order.

I have sent an email to KM to ask them to confirm if they are letting this site use their library.

I guess Caveat Emptor - buyer beware...

It doesn't appear that proburn does digital downloads. I'd love to find Jerry Doucette Mama Let Him Play.

If they are not legal they sure boast that they are and even give out the addresses of their locations. Seems to me that if you were not legal that you would want to hide that.

They are getting better at adding manus on the site mostly THM. I have gotten songs from them and they sound pretty good and real close to the originals. I always listen to the clip ('s if multiple) and then play the artists version right after so I can compare and chose the one I want.

As to Proburn just how can they be legal? I didn't think that Sound Choice allowed ANYBODY to use their stuff and I see a lot of SC on their site.
Also at almost $36.00 (at today's rate) plus shipping for 10 songs is a little steep and if you want more than 10 songs its another $3.60 per song.

Just because they put down an address it does not necessarily mean it's a legitimate address.

I can confirm that this website is a complete RIPOFF. I just got an email from my friend who has run a karaoke CDG production company. Part of his library is on the www.buykaraokedownloads.com website and they have NO authorization to post, sell or download tracks. If fact they are not even being sold any more due to a lapse in the license.

My friend had paid proper licensing but didn't renew due to very high costs. He stopped producing the disks in question. He can't produce any more so this website has no rhyme or reason to claiming to make these tracks available.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!
