I did a search, but it yielded nothing. I'm sure it was mentioned here before, since it's probably the only way I know about it.

Bandoke - ability to do vocals or any of the instrumentation. DVD format. Has anyone tried this? I'd LOVE to get the whole collection, but it is EXPENSIVE (up to $50 per DVD). I'd be concerned about the DVD format for use on a computer as just karaoke. Never used a DVD format before, and all the extra removable tracks may cause an issue for just the karaoke versions on a computer based system? Any input or comments would be great.

Hevi Karaoke.... I use them, have the Pantera and Iron Maiden bandoke and 3 or 4 of the heavy metal DVDs -- I have a switching box and they work just great. I wouldn't worry at all about the quality - the music is EXCELLENT and metalheads are always pleasantly surprised when they can sing to such good music. I would just do a google search for "hevi karaoke" - it is in Finland.

So you have to use a DVD player to use these? Can they be ripped? I'd love to get the collections of Iron Maiden and Pantera. I may eventually get all of them.

I have a switching box and DVD player also, so it wouldn't be THAT big of a deal.

I haven't tried to rip them - I use Hoster. Just easier to play them on the DVD player. It's in my rack anyway for DJing. Works very well.
