Anyone know what the best type of speakers to use? I have an 525W 5.1 receiver with a Aesonic karaoke/DVD player.

Hi Mr TRD,

I use home theater speakers for my home system with no problems what so ever. I have a total of (12) Bose cubes in arrays of (2), with (2) Bose subs (non-powered). I have (4) right front, (4) left front, (2) right rear and (2) left rear. The subs are at oppisite sides of the room. My Room size is about 16' by 28' with 12' ceilings. My cubes are placed high (10' or so)and aimed slightly downward and inward. I will have to say that I can crank up my system as loud as you can stand it and it will easily handle vocals. The Bose cubes are what are inside the Bose L1 units. I have been using the same cubes for almost (5) years and have not had to replace a single one. I love the sound because Bose speakers do a very good job of producing crystal clear vocals.

I have my machine connected to my 5.1 surround sound system when I use it at home going through an HD TV.
