Hi all, I've been using the EVPX15P for more than half a year now and have been satisfied with it. But now thinking of adding a sub and would first consider the sub from the same line which comes as EVPX18PB. Anybody have experience with this sub? Care to share some comments? |

No experience with those, but it's sometimes good to keep the speaker lines the same. You are already happy with the tops, the sub will be a perfect match for those tops, so go for it. Morgan and a couple others swears by Wharfdale. They are a little harder to come by here. |

a very good point lonman, it's also the cheapest line available here I got the Wharfedale because Morgan is using it. I had several messages with her before I went for it and never regretted that. |

I've been using a set of EVPX18PB for almost 2 years now as part of a second PA system. The sound is great; although not as punchy as my set of Mackies SWA1801 I use on the other system. But then again the price tag and power ratings aren't the same either.. The sound is rich and low resonance/bass reproduction is what you get - enough to fill a mid sized venue with a nice warm bass line. I use them together with a set of Behringer B215A's. The only 2 issues perhaps is that 1.) they tend to run fairly hot, although I haven't had any electronic/amp failures yet; 2.) Up to now I had to fix the one speaker cone, as the dust cap came loose after about a year. A friend of mine had the same problem. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fix - pretty much a diy job.http://www.karaoke-forum.com/images/smi ... iggrin.gif In conclusion I think it's excellent value for money - paid R4,500 each ($560) here in South Africa. |
