Hello everybody. I go to Karaoke bars mostly to listen to my husband sing. He is new and getting pretty good. Someday I hope to sing myself. I've tried it a couple of times and it's not pretty. I am hoping with practice and the right song I will be able to do something that sounds halfway decent. Since you are all newbies here, I have a couple of questions for you: (1) Do any of you have a system at home to practice on? If so, what is it, how much did you pay and do you like it? I am looking for a starter system for at home use, to practice on. (2) Do you have any tips on what songs are better for not-so-good singers? For instance, I recently heard a gal sing Kiss Me by New Found Glory. She was very mediocre, but the back up singers and instruments made her sound much better than she actually was. That is what I am looking for myself. Anyway, I'm glad I found this site. |

Hi Kewpie Your question on what type of system for home is better asked in the Tech forum or Discussion forum. Try the search feature first. I know that question has been asked several times before. As for what songs for a newbie gal to do, I find people do well with I Feel Lucky and Hit Me with Your Best Shot. Pick a song you know really well. I'd try faster country songs with out a lot of range. The worst option I think are slow ballad like songs for a beginner. |
