Does anyone know of any software that could analyze a singer's voice quality and pitch (through mic input), compare it with a karaoke backtrack (line input) and then produce a score to quantify the performance of a singer's voice? I would love to use something like this in a karaoke singing contest. I know the old Pioneer Laser disk players use to have such a feature, but I would like to know whether there is software available on the market today with similar functionality?

Nothing I know of, but the ones on the Pioneer players were a joke - I know I still use several. You could literally HUM on key & have high score. without even knowing the song. Nothing I would ever use in a true singing contest.
