Working on building up my crowd. We are now advertising my show on my site, the bar site, and the local paper's website. That doesn't catch a whole bunch of bar goers and karaoke singers. I want to buy a karaoke light and display it on the window of the bar and have it turn on the nights I am performing. I've found them as cheap as $25 including shipping and as high as $376. Anyone else use these and how else can we market the new karaoke in this new bar?

My location bought a $99 Karaoke sign from Ace Karaoke. We turn it on right before I start the gig, and off at the end. Have had many say they just stopped by because they saw the glowy sign.

I've seen the electric karaoke signs on eBay; in fact I have one of the $25 signs and it's really only big enough to put next to your signup area. Getting a bigger neon sign would be pricey.
I would talk to the bar owner about getting a banner from one of the beer companies to hang outside. Keep in mind the more wording on it, the less will be noticed by those who drive by or pass by. I would keep it simple
KARAOKE
Wednesday Nite at 9
DRINK SPECIALS!
Come Sing With King Bing!
The largest words should be KARAOKE and the day. That's your primary message.
If the beer company takes too long to do it, I would go to Kinko's or a banner company and have one made. A 6' X 3' all-weather banner with grommets shouldn't be more than $150.
If the venue doesn't want banners hanging outside, I would look into a smaller sign to be taped inside the venue's window. Again this is something you can pay to have done or see if the bar can have a beer/liquor company do it.
Congrats on the new gig!

Come Sing with KingBing the Dingaling! Thanks guys! I will look into this and the ace site, I saw it in my google but hadn't clicked on it yet. I'd like to have a banner but I think a light catches people's attention.
