Sad to say but I do not have a back up to my mixer. I have everything else backed up. I don't want anything with a bunch of bells and whistles. Just something that I can use in case my Yamaha gives out.

I run 3 mics, two mains, 1 stage monitor, and one sub thru the mixer currently. Any suggestions? Used is fine.

Keep an eye on Craigslist and run model numbers past us as they show up. 8-)

Or if you have a reason to want an upgrade, buy something nicer and make that one your backup. My 32 channel Behringer is my backup mixer now that I got some Soundcraft. :)

? I'm perfectly happy with my Yamaha. Not looking to upgrade, just want a backup. I have everything else backed up. I don't want to spend a lot of money, I've spent enough money on what I have so a decent used one will make me happy.

Honestly, I'm not much of a craigslist person. I've checked it out a few times lately, NEVER see anything I am looking for.

I mean, what do you want, something that works for under $200? Be realistic, or be a really savvy shopper and keep an eye on ebay/craigslist/yard sales.

Just saw this thread and I was on the phone ordering a Behringer Xenyx 1222FX as a backup mixee. Over the years I have used Mackie and found Behringer . I have been using nothing but Behringer for about 6 years no and they have provided great sound when used with Shure SM58 Mics abd JBL EON powered 15's . And I have just ordered one for $209.

As a matter of a fact, yes, I do want something that works for under $200. I'm a big ebayer so that was going to be my main hunting ground, was just hoping for some suggestions to look for.
I heard these same type of comments when I was searching for my first laptop and I ended up spending $220 for a Toshiba that has worked just fine.

Why not just try to find a used model of the same mixer you already used. Then there would be no surprises in sound & you already know exactly how to hook it up & set it?

I used the 124cx for shows and have an 82cx that I use at home and for any shows I travel to. I think the 82cx is a fine little backup so long as you don't require faders as controls.

I am currently selling a Yamaha16/6FX for 225.00 if your interested, it retails for over 475.00
I can ship it for actual cost too. It is a step up from what your using and has only been used maybe four times, so it's like new, it was my back up!

That actually looks like a really good deal. It has a sweepable mid and a subgroup. Tapco is made by Loud/Mackie, and I use one of their amps and a pair of subs and like them OK.
