I was musing last night during my gig at the large number of nicknames me and my singers have come up for them, here are a few:

Sparky (Parker)
Smarty Pants (Marty)
Suave (Blaine)
Cadillac (Tabitha)
Smash (Ashley)
Camanda (Amanda)
Beer Lady (Anna)
Billiam (Bill)

Does anyone else have a nickname rapport with their crowd?

I get a kick out of karaoke names. Thanks for posting them. A lot of the time people look to me for their karaoke names. I need new ideas. Some of my names of late -

Cool Whip
White Lighter
Howdie Judy
Spike Rupert
Spud Muffin

There was a time when my nickname (with one particular host) was Rocking Randy,
never could figure that one out because at the time I had never sung a rock song...(or maybe that's why!)

My nickname "Cave Dave" seemed to garner some positive feedback at the New Mexico State Karaoke Championship, held in truth or consequences, NM last month.

I was a wee bit concerned that it would prove to be negative with fellow contestants, the audience, and the three judges. did not seem so.

Cave Dave uses my middle name David and I added Cave as my future "Southern Rocky Mountain Man nickname. I hope to be a Mountain man reenactor in a few years after I collect my gear, Hawkins rifle, Green River knife, etc. I hope to be invited to schools and talk about that part of US history as well as sing Mountain Man era songs with a Karaoke setup.

I believe in singer nicknames. Keep em coming!

I am again concerned that my nickname may bring negative vibes to the judges at "Talent Quest 2009. It is a National contest and may be inappropriate? What do yall think?

I don't know why it would be considered a negative name. It isn't offensive in any way I can think of.

I'd think as long as others were using karaoke type nicknames it would be fine.
