Millenium what? What songs are on it? I think I see one that is DK, in which case the content itself is excellent. Whether it's actually legal or not -- that's anyone's guess.

I don't know of a Super CD+G set of DK. I do have the DK on Divx set of 3 disc for 1,723 songs. There are more players than Cavs that play these I believe. They work fine. Compared to other brands, I think it is recorded a little lower, so I have to turn these disc up a little higher on the fader than other brands, but sounds great.
As far as any other Super CD+G's, if you go that route, stay with the Chartbuser or Top Hits Monthly supers. Many here hate the Sweet Georgia Brown, but at $60 right now, it is worth adding to your collection, 1,208 songs, some of them alright.

I bought this set on Ebay, from a store on there called "TSC Karaoke". The DK tracks are good...there are newer songs added and some of them have the "Song Factory" splash screen (I believe they had bought DK content). Others are of unknown make but have similar graphics to a "Powerhits" disk that I have. Those tracks are OK quality too.
As for legality, I wondered that too...but it's a great deal for great content...and there's no other way of getting it really unless you were to find someone selling DK CDGs, and I doubt those would come cheaply.

Oh, there's at least one track too with the "Pop Hits Today" screen...which is Stellar Records' label from 1998, or '99. I think I am going with illegal on this one...but I already bought em.

SongFactory did take over the original DK library & relabled under their name - leaving some of the original graphics in tact.
The only bad thing about the original DK library is they often dropped keys in their recordings under the assumption that people wouldn't be able to sing in the regular key which really can screw someone up that knows the song, they also shortened songs for instrumentals which I personally do not care for, but can be nice in busy nights. Then there is the little pan flute melody guide in most songs. Otherwise the DK Millenium set isn't a bad deal as alot of the songs are actually done very well!

from what is common thought, the DK library on SCDG is not legal, as the DK folks were way out of business by the time the SCDG format came along.
THere were only a few sets that were put out by various manus that were "legal" and even then I heard that the reproduction of some of them was below table.

Well provided SongFactory is still in business and maintains the licensing on the DK library they acquired after DK's demise, then it's possible they have been relicensed for SCDG - however doubtful.

but even Songfactory republished under their own label... that's what I meant about it being very suspect.... I just don't see how it meshes! !

Yup, It's DK allright. I believe I remember CAVs offering the DK set when they first intorduced their SCDG Line. The one problem I have with this is, that the original Millinium set had 1710 songs and the SCDG says it has 1815. So what are the additional 105 songs and where did they come from?

The millenium set has some newer songs that are not on the original set. They also removed some songs to make room. I have the DK on Divx and it has 1,723, but it doesn't have Nightshift, wich I believe is on the original set. If they kept some of the removed songs I couls see how you get that total.

I think they added a few. The list from the link you gave lists a song by Lady GaGa and I know she's not on any of the Original 1-99 or Millennium DK discs. The SCDG discs also list a number of songs by Sugarland that aren't in the original discs.

The newer songs are mostly of unknown make...no "brand name" on the screen. I did see an "Amerising" one and a "Pop Hits Today" and "Song Factory", besides all the DK ones.

Since the original set stopped in 99, nothing after 2000 would have been on them.

That is the same sort of thing Supercore does.
