I have been reading alot of what has been said about subs and must admit I am overwhelmed
Are JBL 518s subs any good...I am using eon15 g2's and desperatly need a sub....just not full enough sound. But is that a good choice? Or is the yorkville better et al better...Yikes...Thanks for the clarification-ing

You don't indicate if you are asking about the PRX518 (powered) or MRX518 (passive.) I think the MRX subs are over-priced and you might as well just buy an SRX instead. I have not heard the PRX but I'm not a big powered speaker guy.

Thanks Lonman...You have heard them I guess? I might as well just stay JBL, does it make a difference? I know the EON's Match up well with these subs so thats what I'm thinking...'''

Wish list
Allen&Heath Zed-14
2xJBL518S's
2xJBL PRX535 3-Way Powered Speakers
use my EON15's as stage monitors...

If size, weight, price and being esthetically pleasing with your Eon 15G2's is your priority then the Eon 518S will do a respectable job for you in a Karaoke situation. However, make no mistake,if it ever got into a slugging match with one of the heavy hitters like the QSC HPR181i or the Yorkville LS800P it would be knocked out in the first round. All in all the 518 is a decent sub, a good match for your uppers but probably a little over priced for what it is.

Was pretty sure those were what you were referring to since you had the EON tops.
Yes I have heardf them & they do a very nice job. Staying with brands doesn't necessarily make or break a good sounding system, but can have benefits as they are often matched to work together - but being these won't be perfectly matched as the EON tops are an older model & the EON sub is new, they will still work well & compliment each other fine. No disappointments.

LondonLive..What would you suggest for a sub with those uppers? At or below their price point.

Thanks
