My friends and I have recently really gotten into Karaoke. Right now we just have a CDG player and realize that we need something with key control. My question is should we buy a new player that has everything or just buy a component that has key control and run it thru our cdg player. I would appreciate any advice. Thanx!

no kidding.
All three of the players I have have key control! In fact, I wouldn't do the key control on my amp/mixer anymore, because of the way I use it through my main mixer!!

The cdg player we have is called Party Starter and we got it from SoundChoice. In the beginning it was fine but it does not have key control and like I said before, we are having so much fun and are really getting into it, we know we need key control but are confused as to what to do that would be the best...new player with key control or a component with key control. I really appreciate any advice. Thanks again!!!!

If I were you, I'd get another player with the key control built it such as the JVC triple tray or the new API DVD/CDG player. That way you will have a back-up for later when y'all REALLY get into it.
