Well kudos to this forum. 2 compliments from knowledgable people at my show. One who is an established DJ told me that I had something special and in a few more weeks our venue would be packed based on the sound, lights and personality of the kj. Being me and my assistant as I have been training a guy for a couple months.

Another guy who is gothed out, has dred locks, has an amazing voice and loud personality and is in a band said that once the word got out, everyone would be coming to my show. He said that the sound equals that of any live band. It's not karaoke, it's a karaoke experience.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. It wouldn't have happened if I had not hung out at Karaoke Scene with you folks.

"It's not karaoke, it's a karaoke experience." TM

I just trademarked it. Oh, wait, the WB Frog just came to my house and roughed me up.

The above phrase is now the exclusive property of the AOL-Time-Warner-Turner-Disney-CompuServe-Mapquest-MovieFone-Netscape-Winamp-HBO-Cinemax-Cartoon Network-TruTV-TBS-TNT-TCM-CNN-Headline News-Accent Health-Court TV-GameTap-The Smoking Gun-Sports Illustrated-New Line Media-Hanna Barbera-Looney Tunes-WB-DC Comics-Golf Magazine-Homes and Gardens-In Style-Marie Claire-Money Magazine-People Magazine-Southern Living-Viacom-World Championship Wrestling-Six Flags corporation.

Oh, and you owe them $40.00 for copywrite infringement. Failure to pay will mean a visit from The Frog. Thank you!

All 3 of my mics are Shure SM58s. 2 are wireless. Personally, I can't tell any difference in the sound. 1 is a beta.

My mixer is a Yamaha MG124CX

My speakers are Yorkville NX525Ps.

My sub is a Carvin LS1801NA

Interface is a Lexicon Alpha.

Supposed to be a laser light out there that rivals my Chauvet Scorpion Storm by American DJ called Gemini? I've heard it's $100 cheaper. Storm retails about $400. I bought mine including shipping for $260 refurbished. This light is nothing short of amazing. All my other lights are at home in a box.

The actual sound is going to be about the same in the standard 58 & Beta - the main difference lies in the directivity & feedback rejection in which the Beta is a tighter pickup pattern - meaning you have to sing more directly into it as with the standard 58 the singer can hold it off to the side a little more.

Really nice system Ripman! Wish I'd found karaoke scene sooner myself... maybe I could've started off with a rig as nice as yours!

Just to save on a little confusion, I'm pretty sure Bob meant to say that he has Yorkville NX55P's on top.

That's funny, I just read my last post, saw a big ol typo and then I figured London picked up on it.

Today I spent $214 to get the best low light point and shoot camera in the business. At least6 according to reviews. Want to take pics on the fly and add the ones I like to my site. The pics we have now were taken with a camera not known for that feature.

Funny, I forgot to mention, I am using one of my Behringer 215As as a stage monitor. It's worked out great.

When I get my new camera, I will post some better pics.

In the meantime, looking to move my rack out to the side of the dance floor. I don't have enough vga cable at this time. Anybody heard of wireless?

When Yorkville's are brought up you know they have to be regarded with the utmost respect Bob.
What camera are you getting, I've been kicking around the idea of getting a new camera and been giving the Panasonic DMC-ZS3 Lumix some thought.

Fujifilm FinePix F100fd

Great reviews for this camera. Doesn't look all that but for the price the low light feature and ratings can't be beat.

Sometimes my fingers don't listen to me JD and I give them the benefit of the doubt. Trust me, those at my show respect what those Yorkies do!

Not for VGA however I have seen them with RCA inputs and outputs. You can get VGA cables as long as 50', do you need more than that?

I've seen 100' VGA extention cables. But here is a wireless system. Only problem with any wireless system is line of sight! If it gets interupted, you get bad reception. If possible, keep the transmitter,/reciever high above the crowd & any obstructions!

I have some 2.4GHz wireless TV+Audio devices, one transmitter and two receivers. I don't use them unless I can't run cable to the TVs I need to reach, as with any consumer-grade, unlicensed wireless stuff, it is subject to interference from other sources, and may cause interference to other unlicensed devices in the same band.

A coax cable is best for long distance runs.
