LET'S START A BIG LIST OF KARAOKE VENUES!

I'll start:

Cafe de Paris Quincy MA - Upscale bar/restaurant. Mixed crowd with emphasis on the 40+ crowd. Lots of great singers. Karaoke on Friday and Saturdays, 9:30 to 1.

Mari's Place Quincy MA - Local dive bar/biker bar (can be a bit skeevy but not scary like you might think for a biker bar). Karaoke on Thursday nights. Usually not too crowded so you can get lots of mic time. Love the KJ.

Kelly's Landing - Weymouth MA - Local dive bar but a step up from Mari's Place. There is a restaurant attached and you can get food in the bar. Karaoke on Saturdays. Starts at 8:30. The happiest bar that I have ever been to. Everyone is super happy all the time, dancing in the aisle. Never saw a fight or any kind of beef. Great people. Same KJ as Mari's place. If there are not a lot of singers he will play regular music inbetween singers so all the happy people can keep dancing. I have seen it moderately crowded and not so crowded.

Cathy Center - Chinese restuarant. I think the Karaoke might be every night but not sure. I have only been on Saturdays. Starts early, around 8-8:30. Fun. Can get pretty crowded and lots of competition for mic time.

I'll come back later with more.

I would be really interested in any info on places in New England. Also will be going to Orlando FL in March, so anything around there I would love to hear about.

Come on, add to this list!

Wow, looks like we thought about this at about the same time.......take in consideration, I type real slow......and think even slower......didn't mean to steal your thunder, just wanted to help.......hopefully both will get some posts, for as time goes by, both will show up differently when searched......because of headings.....

I also wanted a format, so the first thing you see is the city(easy to recognise what you want.......one city per post.....too wordy, too many places listed in one post, and it's too hard to navigate quickly.....

O'Shucks in Orlando, Florida. Because of its location in a tourist town you see people coming in from different countries, and most of the singers are pretty good. It is THE place to go if you happen to be in Orlando and feel the urge to sing.

Provincetown MA

The Governor Bradford
Local dive bar frequented by many hetero ppl in a town known for it's gay population. KJ is a drag queen. A mix of good singers and bad. A mix of locals and, during summer, lots of tourists (this is a beachy tourist town). The karaoke book is a bit lacking, but not too bad. I've seen worse. Can be a fun place if you like a good dive bar and happen to be in town, but I wouldn't go out of my way just for the Karaoke.
